5th Grade Sewn Monsters

5th Grade students designed and sewed monsters this fall after learning about Mira Opperer, a schoolgirl in Austria who designs and sews monsters, too!  Students learned how to sew whipstitch and running stitch to create their monsters.  They created pockets and small monsters or objects in addition to the large monster.  After completing the project, 5th Grade students wrote to Mira, and they are hoping to hear back from her!
