3rd Grade Superhero Selfies

From flyswatters to kittens, students created their dream superhero-self replete with their special tools and powers.  In this process, the students first created a watercolor wash for the sky.  Then, they colored and painted their own scratch paper, upon which they drew buildings in perspective!  Finally, they practiced gesture drawing from poseable armatures to create the right pose for their superheroes.  The superheroes were drawn and colored and all was glued down.  All in a day’s work for some pretty amazing kids!
